Madison Coalition hosts Wisconsin Justice Summit

MADISON, WI — On Saturday, July 22, Building Unity and a broad coalition of partners are hosting the Wisconsin Justice Summit at Madison’s First United Methodist Church. The goal of the summit is to create a statewide action plan that considers all people, and all of our needs to thrive and survive. Her is the day’s schedule of these live steam broadcasts:

  • Doors open at 9:30!
    9:45 am - Kick-off/Welcome by Forward! Marching Band

  • 10:15 am - Morning whole group gathering including “Welcome and Blessing” by Art Shegonee and speeches by Jerry Folk and The Honorable Reverend Everett Mitchell.

  • 1:40 pm - Keynote speech by Rep Darrin B. Madison, Jr.

  • 2:00 pm - Afternoon whole group gathering including speeches by Emily Park and Rep. Francesca Hong.

  • 6:30 pm - Panel discussion led by Rep. Supreme Moore Omokunde.

The Wisconsin Justice Summit is a free event, and donations are welcome. Donate in person or at https://buildingunitywisconsin.org/donate/.

Snacks, lunch, and supper are included as part of this summit. Most food served will be plant-based (vegan) and there will be gluten-free options for those with gluten sensitivities. You are free to bring in your own food to meet your dietary needs, but this will not be a potluck.
