Letter to Canadian Ministers to Shut Down Line 5 signed by over 6,000 concerned citizens from around the world
The Cross Border Organizing Working Group of the Line 5 Coalition is an international group of Indigenous leaders and activists working to shut down Enbridge’s Line 5. We have drafted a letter to key Canadian Ministers asking them to stop misusing a 1977 treaty in order to keep a decrepit pipeline in service. We will deliver this letter Monday, May 15, 2023 at 9:30 AM to Green Party MPs Elizabeth May and Mike Morrice. Afterwards, we will hold a press conference at the Centennial Flame, located at Parliment Hill at about 10:30 AM.
