Pipe Out Paddle Up Family Picnic and Float

  • Kiwanis Beach St. Ignace, MI, 49781 United States (map)

On August 31, 2024, from 9 AM to Noon, concerned citizens from all over MI will convene on the water in St. Ignace to demand Enbridge Line 5 be decommissioned permanently!

Facebook event

In 2020, the MI Governor terminated Enbridge's permit to operate Line 5 through the Great Lakes, 70 tributaries throughout MI, AND the SW Detroit Marathon refinery that is harming the community there every day.

Enbridge has fought the will of the people the whole way. They even tried to push the legal fight to the 6th District Federal Court in Ohio. Enbridge knew that the federal court system would always side with them. We all showed up and supported MI Attorney General Nessel and the federal court agreed that the Line 5 fight should remain in the state court system.

The struggle to protect the Great Lakes continues and it is going to take all of us!

Please bring your kyacks, canoes, and paddle boards! We will have some available for folks as well.

This is the year to stand together and show Enbridge they ARE NOT WELCOME IN MI!

We hope folks come to the Flotilla and then go to Petoskey for the Water Is Life Festival!

All the details are here! https://www.waterislifefestival.org/
