Valentine's Water Protectors Inter-Tribal Snow Snake Festival

  • Joni's Beach La Pointe, Wisconsin United States (map)

This year, there will be a MC warming tent, as well as food and warming drinks at St. Johns Church, across the street from the track. People will be encouraged to bring additional goods to cook or feed. There will be an outside lakeside fire and an MC stand for information sharing and on-site registration. Local island residents are hosting this event and Akiing 8th Fire is sponsoring a core group of game organizers and coaches to work with participants during the day to oversee the Snow Snake track/s and throws. Other organizations and participants may offer alternative winter games and events in and around the Snow Snake weekend. Core organizing group will make final decision on Snow Snake games, conduct and rules at Joni's Beach.
