High School Students Lead Madison Rally to Stop Line 5

MADISON, WI - On Saturday, August 19th, high school students led a rally at the Madison Capitol urging people at the farmers market support a shut down of the Line 5 oil pipeline.

The group marched around the square and held a press conference at Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources offices featuring five youth speakers.

Students carried water bottles full of "oil contaminated water," a climate countdown clock, a makeshift pipeline and multiple banners and signs.
